Moortown lies on the western shore of Lough Neagh.

 

Gaelic Football was introduced in 1909. The Club won its first County title in 1927. Since then, Moortown has won County Championships at every grade and level, and in every decade. The greatest team produced by the Club won Senior championships in 1941, 1942, and 1950. Moortown won the Centenary Cup in 1984, and climaxed a five year period of success at all underage levels by regaining the O'Neill Cup in 1992. 

 

The Club caters for Boys and Girls at every level and can also boast a successful Camogie club
